Thomas McDowell murdered Andreas Hinz 37 in Camden on 3 July 2002. He strangled him and then dismembered his body.
Andreas Hinz was a German homosexual trainee rabbi and Thomas McDowell was thought to have been a rent boy. They met in the Black Cap pub, a gay pub in Camden, north London.
After he borrowed a hack saw from a mental health charity and cut up the body and disposed of it in bin bags.
